 Qualifications 

1. Admission qualifications listed in item 14 of the Thammasat University’s Bachelor Degree Regulations (2018):

  • Applicants must not have student status or be currently enrolled at any other higher education institution in Thailand except open university.
  • Applicants shall not be diagnosed with communicable infectious diseases, socially disgusted diseases, or diseases that impede learning performance.
  • Applicants shall not have been convicted of any offense a crime or have not been charged with any offense.
 

2. Applicants are required to complete or be expected to obtain a high school diploma before entering the BIR Program with one of the following high school diplomas:

  • Complete GPA minimum of 2.80 (GPA in 4.0 scale), or equivalent*
    High School Equivalence Certificate, and GPAX Equivalence Certificate issued by HSCES.
  • GED diploma must be obtained at least 165 scores in each subject
  • GCE ‘O’ Level, GCSE, and IGCSE must be obtained at least grade C in five different subjects and also with AS at least grade A-E in five subjects or GCE ‘A’ Level at least grade A-E in three subjects
  • International Baccalaureate (IB) results are required to have at least “4” in five different subjects

3. Applicants are required to have one of the following English language proficiency test results (taken within 2 years before the application date):

  • TOEFL: a minimum score of 500 on PBT/ 61 on IBT
  • IELTS: a minimum overall grade of 6.0
  • TU-GET: a minimum score of 500 on PBT / 74 on CBT
  • SAT: a minimum score of 50% on Evidence-Based Reading and Writing

  Online English proficiency test scores—such as the Duolingo English Test, Wall Street English Test, or any other tests not explicitly listed—will not be accepted as valid proof of English proficiency.

 Required Documents 

  • A copy of the Identification Card (for Thai Citizens) or Passport (for Non-Thai Citizens)
  • Color ID Photo, 4 cm x 3 cm, no hat, plain background
  • An official high school transcript*
    *Academic records should give detailed information on the content and the quality of your performance, courses taken each year and grades received.
    If the institution does not issue records in Thai or English, original language records must be submitted with a translation in English. All translations must be literal and complete versions of the original records.
  • A certified copy of the valid English Proficiency Test
  • Curriculum Vitae/Résumé
  • Statement of Purpose (500 - 1,000 words)
  • Bank Payment Slip for 50 USD application fee**
    **The application fee includes all expenses related to the BIR Admission Procedure: all examination fees, application to TCAS system fee, and High School Certificate Equivalency System fee which is non-refundable
    **The application fee excludes the international bank transfer fee.

1 . Complete the online application form and Pay the application fee at the BIR Program's account.:

2. Submit the High School Equivalence Certificate, and GPAX Equivalence Certificate issued by HSCES.

  • Once the applicant's eligibility has been verified, submit the Equivalence Certificate documents to BIR via email.

3. Take the BIR Written Examination (Online)

 

Remark:

  • All related applications and documents submitted to BIR cannot be returned and are non-refundable.
  • All applicants will be automatically considered to be well-informed about the qualifications and their eligibility for BIR Admission. BIR Program perseveres the right to deny unqualified applicants on their interview date.
